Chairman Lee talked about the Korean government’s efforts to faithfully implement the UNCAC, and hoped that the Conference will serve as a milestone in systematic implementation of UNCAC and in global effort to fight corruption. He also hoped that an effective and comprehensive review mechanism will be adopted during the Conference. He concluded his speech by proposing a slogan “transparency is propriety.”
