On November 9th, ACRC Chairman Lee, Jae Oh talked with UNDP Director for Democratic Governance Group Geraldine Joslyn Fraser-Moleketi. She congratulated Chairman Lee on his appointment and ACRC’s successful holding of the 2009 APEC Anti-Corruption and Transparency Symposium last September. She said that Korea-UNDP anti-corruption cooperation projects achieved quite a lot, and was impressed by Korea’s export of excellent anti-corruption programs to Indonesia. She hoped that Korea will expand its anti-corruption technical assistance projects from the Asia Pacific to Africa.

The ACRC, in cooperation with the UNDP, carried out anti-corruption cooperation projects to build anti-corruption capacity of public officials from Bhutan and Bangladesh for 2 years from 2007. The UNDP footed the entire bill of $950,000 for the project.

Chairman Lee said that the ACRC is always ready to work with any country that wants our technical assistance, and hopes to maintain the close cooperative relations with the UNDP in the future.
