The 10th AOA Annual Board of Directors" Meeting was held in Teheran, Iran from 21 to 22 April with the aim of enhancing the performance of the Asian ombudsmen. Main agenda of the meeting includes broadening of membership base, amendment of the By-laws and Code of Conduct, efficient use of AOA funds, review of progress in research studies, etc. The Board of Directors particularly welcomed the ADB"s approval of Regional Technical Assistance(RETA) as a timely and essential support for strengthening the Asian Ombudsman Association. Based on this facility of $900,000 the Knowledge Management Resource Center is to be set up within the AOA for the duration of two years. It will be devoted to capacity building of the Asian ombudsmen with a range of activities including research and training, study tours and secondment, and wider access to the resources. In order to put this in place, the participants agreed to collaborate closely and seek for creative ideas.
