The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) was launched on February 29, 2008 through the integration of the Korea Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Ombudsman of Korea, and the Administrative Appeals Commission. With the consolidation of these three organizations, the ACRC now provides citizens with one-stop service dealing with citizen complaints, administrative appeals, and corruption reports in a faster and more convenient way.

We would like to inform you about our recent anti-corruption activities and latest news on what the Korean government is doing to improve the nation's transparency on thi s newsletter.

ACRC’s efforts resulted in the relocation of Korean War Monument to Greek Force
The ACRC held an onsite mediation meeting to resolve a grievance asking the improvement of surroundings of the Korean War Monument to Greek Force.

ACRC recommended improvement on 155 corruption risk factors in the first half of 2020
The ACRC recommended fleshing out and objectifying discretionary provisions and establishing institutional tools against conflicts of interest.

ACRC conducted the Corruption Risk Assessment on 816 bylaws of public institutions in the airport/port area
The ACRC offered 21 improvement tasks with 54 recommendations in three areas, including improvement for unfair performance of duties.

ACRC won Gold Stevie Awards in Excellence in Innovation in Government
The ACRC was highly recognized for its excellence in innovation in customer service, promotion and IT usage.

ACRC made it easy to choose proxy-reporting advisory lawyers
The ACRC　expanded the scope of information disclosure of the proxy-reporting lawyers　in order to encourage whistleblowers to make better use of the Proxy-Reporting Lawyer Group.
