The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) was launched on February 29, 2008 through the integration of the Korea Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Ombudsman of Korea, and the Administrative Appeals Commission. With the consolidation of these three organizations, the ACRC now provides citizens with one-stop service dealing with citizen complaints, administrative appeals, and corruption reports in a faster and more convenient way.

We would like to inform you about our recent anti-corruption activities and latest news on what the Korean government is doing to improve the nation's transparency on thi s newsletter.
 
  ACRC designated 5-11 December as “Anti-Corruption Week”
The ACRC held a variety of anti-corruption-themed cultural events and the first ceremony to commemorate the ‘Public Interest Whistle-Blowing Day’ during the Anti-Corruption Week.

ACRC hosted the 2019 4th meeting of Public-private Consultative Council for Transparent Society
The Council discussed ways to enhance fairness in the hiring of office employees of private schools and to strengthen transparency in the system of apartment pre-sale.

The 2020 budget of ACRC was finalized at 90.1 billion won
The ACRC will use the budget to beef up the education and promotion of the Illicit Profits Recovery Act and expand rewards and protection for reporters.
